On September 1, 2022 the Municipality of the District of Guysborough sold the Waste Management Facility to GFL Environmental Inc. (GFL). The full press release detailing the sale can be found here.
Location
The Waste Facility is located at 151 Waste Management Road off Route 16, Meagher’s Hill, between the communities of Boylston and Lincolnville. It is open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon and closed Sunday and on statutory holidays. (From Highway 104 take exit 37, east toward Guysborough on Route 16, approximately 17 km. The site entrance is located on the left side of the road. Look for the sign. From Guysborough follow Route 16 west approximately 16 km. The site is on the right side.
