The 42nd Annual 55+ Guysborough County Games took place October 7th and 8th at Liscombe Lodge Resort, bringing participants together for two days of friendly competition, activities and social connection.
The games feature a variety of activities, from darts, cribbage and washer toss to carpet bowling, Scrabble and walking. Our participants are provided with many opportunities to stay active, try different activities and enjoy time together.
A special highlight of the annual banquet was recognizing Claire MacKeen, who attended her 40th Guysborough County Games this year. Congratulations to Claire on this remarkable milestone!
The evening also featured an inspiring speech from Ursula Ryan, who spoke on behalf of her dementia support group and shared a meaningful message with those in attendance.
The Games are hosted through a partnership between the Municipality of the District of Guysborough, the District of St. Mary’s and the Town of Mulgrave. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s event a success.
