The Municipality of the District of Guysborough is hiring for the position of part-time Early Childhood Before and After School Program Leader at the Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex in Guysborough. The Program Leaders will be required to work Monday – Friday as required based on registration. The start date for this position is Wednesday, September 2, 2026 through to June 25, 2026. The hourly rate for this position is $17.75.
General responsibilities will include program registration, overseeing the safety of the children, organizing and implementing age-appropriate indoor and outdoor games and activities to create an active and dynamic learning environment that will support and include all children involved.
Successful candidates must have: Standard First Aid and CPR, Criminal Record Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check, hold a certificate in High Five (Principles of Child Development) plus a minimum of 1 year experience working with children. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
