The recreation department offers programing across the district in community centres and at our two fitness centres at Fanning (Hazel Hill) and Chedabucto (Guysborough). Regular programming includes after school physical fitness activity for children and youth (PACY); seasonal sports and adult fitness. The recreation department are proud to partner with many community organizations to ensure that residents across the District have opportunity to get and stay active.

CHEDABUCTO POOL Swim Lessons (Guysborough)
Swim Lessons will be offered at the Chedabucto Pool this summer during the following dates:
Session 1: July 7 to July 18
Session 2: July 21 to August 1
Session 3: August 11 to August 22
Lessons take place Monday to Friday for 2 weeks, between 9am and 12pm.
Registration will close on June 25th for session 1. Payments can be made at the Chedabucto Lifestyle Complex. Deadline for session 1 payments is July 7.

Swim Lessons will be offered at the Canso Pool this summer during the following dates:
Session 1: July 7 to July 18
Session 2: July 28 to August 8
Lessons take place Monday to Friday for 2 weeks, between 9am and 12pm.
Registration will close on June 25th for session 1. Payments can be made at the Pool the first Monday of each session, by cash only.
