Employment Opportunity - Manager of Finance

MODG has an immediate opening for the Manager of Finance position. The normal working hours are Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (35 hours per week). Education will be a professional accounting designation along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in a municipal setting. Attention to detail, and exceptional analytical, writing and organizational skills are essential. The annual remuneration for this position is $86,593 – $106,905 with placement to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial activities of the Municipality, including all accounting functions; assisting in the preparation of capital and operating budgets and forecasts, recording and reconciliation of accounts, preparation of financial statements and reports, identifying and continuously seek improvements in internal control processes, co-ordination of year end audit requirements and responses to audit queries.
